Antrim / Re: Collins Street, Belfast?

My best guess is Colin Street, which ran from Falls Road to Ross Street, with Mary Street running off it. If one person is saying it and another person is writing it down, it would sound like Collins Street, if you know what I mean!

Thanks to Sandra, oldohiohome and Kloumann for your additional posts. More distant cousins to add to my Gallagher family tree.

Paul.

Thanks Sandra and Kloumann. What I am trying to establish is if Hugh and his wife Anne Theresa had any children.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can turn up an obituary for Hugh M Gallagher of Bridgeport Connecticut. He died on 19th February 1995 aged 75. His wife was named Anne. He was the son of Hugh Gallagher senior. He was born on 5th January 1920.

Thank you.

Tyrone / Re: Hugh Cannon Died Omagh area 26th January 1969

Thanks gaffy. That certainly looks like the Hugh Cannon I am interested in. His parents were indeed John Cannon and Sheila(Sisley) McHugh. It also ties in with the death notice Sinann reproduced stating Hugh's wife was called Hannah. They must have married in Scotland and moved back to Northern Ireland. Thanks again.

Thanks barryd.

Sinann, thanks for taking the time to check. Unfortunately, nothing relating to Donegal mentioned.
Regards.

Tyrone / Hugh Cannon Died Omagh area 26th January 1969

I have been researching my Grandmother's family, the Cannon family, from Lettermacaward, County Donegal for some time. She had 10 brothers. I have gathered  information on all but one brother, Hugh Cannon, born in 1890. I have come across a family document from the 1970s which says Hugh ,(deceased by then), lived in Northern Ireland. The Hugh Cannon who died in Omagh district in 1969 was aged 78, which ties in with a birth year of 1890. I was wondering if anyone can turn up a death notice ,obituary, etc on this Hugh Cannon which would indicate if he was originally from Lettermacaward in Donegal and would therefore be 'my' Hugh Cannon.
Thanks.
Paul.

Thanks Sandra and RJ for the repiles. I am a bit confused by the family tree on Ancestry, number of children to Neal and Elizabeth doesn't match my information.

Thanks again.
Paul.

Thanks RJ. John Gallagher had 5 brothers, Tim and Neal in Oakland, California and 3 others back in Ireland but unfortunately none of them were called Patrick, so not 'my' John.

Regards.
Paul.
