I actually forgot that I posted on here years ago hahah
I got into the family history for a while and then I got side tracked. when I came across this forum again, I didnt realise I had already posted here

I dont know this forum very well actually, and need to find out where everything is, as ive taken up family history again and  will be spending time on here

I am so sorry if I am poting in the wrong column, but im needing your help, I accidently came across this forum and saw a post from a member who was researching the same family as me haha, his name is Garstonite and I would just love to chat with him. WE might actually be related some how down the family line haha I think this is just brilliant, I have private messaged this man and I just hope that hes still a member here and ha received my message ok.. I would be so grateful for any feed back and help around the forum and to get to meet people. thank you so much in advance x

I havnt got a marriage certificate for esther, and I have the date for john james somewhere, of when he died, he did die in Hartlepool, I actually found his grave. was so sad because he didn't have  aheadstone, one day I will buy him one.

 John james Wilson born 1874 at 24 mosley st w h pool on the 1881 census he had two siblings Mary Jane b 12 Aug 1870 and Elizabeth b 1881 probably had more children that might have died you will have to check the Stranton records there perents George Wilson b 1842 in Woolwich mar 15 Sep 1869 to Cicily Brown b 22 Jan 1846 in middleton H pool died 1902 George died 12 Sep 1930 in H pool Georges dad James Wilson b 1816 Oswestry Salop mar a Catherine b 1819 in Liverpool had four children of the census could be more? 1st Elizabeth b 1837 Liverpool George b 1842 wollwich James b1847 Woolwich Jane b 1850 Wollwich cicely's parents where John brown b 1791 in Bishop Middleton Dur and Mary Saint b 1812 in hpool it stops there have you got the Douglasses side??
 

 







Esther's parents where George Douglas b 1849 or 1846 on the 1881 census he was 32 on the 91 he was 45 his wife was Sarah Jane Simpson born about 1855 in winlaton  George was from Washington Dur children 1st George b 1878 in Biddic Dur Esther b 1880 same place Frances 1881 same William 1884 all born in Stockton now Hannah1888 Helena 1890 Thomas 1894 Ethel 1890 Sarah Janes perents William Simpson b 1811 Walker Northumberland Frances the mother b 1810 same kids 1st John b 1834 all now Winlaton Durham Edward 1835 Mary ann 1838 William 1840 George 1842 Ralph 1846 Isabella 1850 Sarah Jane direct line 1853 Frances 1855 and Elizabeth 1860 you can check all these on Ancestry sorry I could not find out much more happy searching

Also, My moher tells me that Esther and john james eloped,, because one of them was upper class.. and their relationship wasn't approved, so maybe they didn't marry. its a mystery

Hi, Esther Douglas married john james Wilson, she had all their children in Hartlepool England
