hello everyone
ive found some articles i'd like to access but i am unsure if i can access them.they are on the uni of nottingham website under manuscripts and special collections titled catalogue of the papers of Henry Pelham-Clinton, 4th duke of newcastle under lyne i think this is the catalogue no. Part 1: Ne C 4667-5096 Lord lieutenancy papers, including militia and yeomanry papers and the Nottingham riots of 1831 (1810-1839). can anyone tell me if and how i can access these as my 4th g/grandad was in the 3rd notts millitia ,joining in about 1810 his name is joseph warburton any help appreciated thanks

i think harriot is the daughter of elizabeths brother because shes still a hempstock on both censuses. on the nora lavina baptism i take it shes illegitimate but what does the NL Cawthorne part mean

thanks Suzard Carole w and Larkspur for replying, can i clarify a few things on this. joseph warburton married elizabeth hemstock in 1795 at clarborough,they had 11 children, ellen was the last born christened 14 july 1814 in east retford. she married charles cawthorne. harriot hemstock will be the daughter of elizabeth hemstocks brother. but i dont know his name,the reason im searching for this brother is so i can tie him in with elizabeth and find her parents names. also id like to know what happened to harriots parents, any ideas anyone ?

Hi, im looking for the baptism of harriot hempstock and any other info of her and her parents or anything else. in the 1841 and 1851 census shes living with joseph and elizabeth warburton in retford. 1851 census says shes 22, born at lound and 12 in 1841 census,she is down as a niece so what happened to her parents? elizabeth is the relation ,elizabeth was born about 1775. any help would be great, thanks

im searching for the burials of elizabeth warburton died 15 march 1847 in east retford, and joseph warburton died 1 march 1856 in east retford. i think they were both baptists and they came from hayton and clarborough. they arent at st swithins in retford, so was wondering if they are at hayton or clarborough or anywhere else near by.

i have seen these records before. on freereg it says the father of george and john is william but on notts fhs c/d it says father is john so someones transcribed it wrong.thats why im hoping for anyone who can clarify this at notts archives.thanks again trish
