That would tie in.  Just checked my database and my great grandfather was a Co.-Sergt-Major for the Royal Scots Fusiliers.

Hi

I was wondering if anyone can date the attached photos.  If it is who we think (my G Grandparents) they were married in 1917 but we are not too sure if this is who we think!

Also if anyone can let me know the uniforms that would be an extra bonus!

I was christened in the Church of Scotland only have one godmother.  My sister is the same.  My godmother (who, btw, is catholic!) doesn't look out for me and we don't know where my sister's is!

I'm godmother to two, my cousin who was christened in Wales and my nephew who was "named" by the Salvation Army.  My nephew has two godmothers.  My cousin has one godmother (me) and a shared godfather with his twin sister (who has her own godmother, my sister).

Hi again

Just received a reply back from my letter to this mystery writer (I kept my work address to be on the safe side).  He does appear to be genuine and if I've worked it out correctly he is my granny's second cousin.  As soon as his family left Scotland it looks like all contact was lost.

Still not found out how he got my work address but maybe will find out one day!
