Thank you minniehaha and john.
Appreciate your help.
Have passed on info to Terry, so hope he looks up all things you have found for him.

He says he has looked at death certificates and didn't find what he was looking for.
I think he actually needs to look at micro fiche perhaps and find the marriage if there was one.

Will get back to you both if Terry or I find any etra info.

Thank you
Rainy

Hi John.
just looked at Family Search re WILL/PROBATE.

That is the father James Jary our g.g.grandfather.

James William Jary died 1935 where I found Nelson cemetery records for him
and Lucy who died 1939.

Just going out will get back later to this.
Thank you.

Thank you John04.
 Now that is interesting.
Re sister Lucy Jary.

Mary Ann Jary and James are James William Jary's parents.

Now I did find a birth on bdm re Ellen with mother Lucy but no father name.

Then when i did it again didn't come up.

With families using and using same names we can miss things.

There was also a Ellen born to James and Mary Ann Jary , sister to James William Jary.

James and mary Ann Jary arrived in NZ i Jan 1854 on the Constantine.
James
Mary Ann and I think 4 children.
They then had more children in Nelson.

Will send your answers onto Terry, thank you very much.
Thanks

I am helping a friend whose g.grandfather was Jonas Tanner born 1846 Gloucestershire.  Jonas married Martha LEWIS in 1866 Gloucestershire.  If I am following the correct line of family.

Jonas and Martha came to NZ before 1874 when their daughter Charlotte Matilda was born.

Is this family I am looking at connect with your David Tanner?

There is a David Tanner and his wife Elizabeth Ann also on Electoral Rolls in New Zealand.

Thank you

Thank you Forfarian.

Very good advice for all researchers.

I just need to use Scotlands People properly and not waste credits.

Many thanks.
