Sorry, Karen
you will not get much joy whilst the image is scanned a such a low resolution. If you could re-scan @ 300 or more pixels per cm we might have a chance.

cheers

I'm hopeless at colourising things, but I had a go at bringing her out of the murk! The resolution is quite low.

You can search here as well:

and you get a result (just a bit of it here)

The short answer is that, no, you can't. The "cell" is not like Excel, it does not have conditional formatting,  the way you are doing it with the additional field is the way I'd go - but I'd have used a yes/no datatype

Without a doubt the best one I have used is CDRoller: Google it, it's easy to find. Sorry, it is not free, but at $39US it is extremely good value for money.

You can download a 14day trial version, which should be more than enough to see if it will do the job for you.

I have used it with very pleasing results.

Ireland / Re: McIlmoil / McIlmoyle
« on: Thursday 11 November 10 10:17 GMT (UK)  »
Hi KayMc

I'm looking for McIlmoil / McIlmoyles around that time as well, in Ireland, though I'm not sure we are looking at the same family, I have a William b. abt 1825, migrated to Scotland abt. 1852.
I dont know if he had any siblings.

Possibly we could compare notes?

Thanks
Beth
