Thanks  for that Sandy,
Have received confirmation that George IS Peters son, George was bap at Islip 1816  but no other children mentioned.  Peters wife came from H. Ferrers so wondered if that's where any others were born?
Cheers

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / York/e Higham Ferrers
« on: Monday 27 June 05 14:41 BST (UK)  »
I am hoping for some help if anyone can please

RE
Peter Yorke born Yeilden Beds married Eleanor March at Higham Ferrers Oct 15 1811.

I am looking for any children from this marriage ?

I know of a George Yorke born at HF abt 1812/13. but is he one of theirs? and if so were there any other children?

Peter aged 70  is shown on the 1851 census for Denford along with Ellen his wife

George Yorke born HF also on 1851 census Denford along with his family, which makes me think he could be Peters son.
Many thanks in anticipation

Hi Sandy
I have had a lot of info given to me on Yorks in Old.
One is puzzling me
1851 census
the gentleman states that on the William York at Wold Lodge
there were references to
William Head mar 56 Yelden
Susan wife           53 Totness Devon
Robert Neph unm  21 Yelden
Henry Neph unm  20  Yelden
Charlotte  neice unm 18 Yelden
plus............
quote"3 other nephews with surname like Gilbert or Gillman; aged 22, 18, 8" quote end
I received in the post this morning the CD from Northants FHS for the 1851 census for whole of Northants, but I can find no reference to these (3 nephews) could you poss check the original to see if you can find out anything more for me.?
Many thanks
Jenny
