How certain are you of your 1871 information?

Elizabeth Berry is named as the wife of the lodger.

I don't think Hannah would have become Ann!

I have found your Hannah Greaves in 1861 - my earlier posting is definitely not your Hannah.

Sorry!

I have found this Hannah Greaves in 1851 but probably not yours!

Horseforth   4, Scotland Lane

Hannah Greaves   Head   58   Retired Farmer   Yorkshire, Headingley
Joseph Graeves   Son   24   Hand Loom Cloth Weaver   Yorkshire, Horseforth
Emma Greaves   Daughter   18   Late (?) in Service   Yorkshire, Horseforth
Josiah Greaves   Son   13   At Home   Yorkshire, Horseforth

I can't find your Hannah Greaves in 1861 - can you post the Census page etc, please?

Please post here if you find anything - you've got me puzzled and I would like to know your conclusions.

I agree with Smeghead - surely 70 years is sufficient.

Have you tried looking for Samuel Wakefield in the 1861 census?

I wonder why William Wakefield was staying with Samuel Turner in 1861?

Where is William Wakefield in 1851?

I am sure meles appreciates this information.

I know I found it very useful, and have filed it away for further use.

Thanks, everyone

I assume that Ann Taylor is a married daughter (nee Booth), but where is her hubby?
