Norfolk / Re: Rachel Mays - baptism look up please - Grimston (?)

Thanks - I had thought that maybe Sarah had been working as housekeeper or similar for George Collison, but as you say 'gentleman' doesn't fit with the description of 'Ag lab' - ( no offence meant to Agricultural labourers anywhere).
Thanks for your reply anyway - I'll maybe rule him out . Do you know any other George Collisons around the area at this time?

Your thoughts on this please - - I have a marriage in 1883 of a Harriet Eliza Rust age 24 in Middleton, Norfolk (6miles from Grimston). She names George Collison gentleman as her father. Could this be the same George Collison do you think.
Harriet  was illigitimate daughter of  Sarah Ann Rust.

Hi,
There weren't death certificates before 1837 - what Reg No and File No have you got?
Before 1837 the best you can do is find a burial record.

There is also another William Raynes on Free Reg baptised 28 Aug 1833 to William and Sarah Raynes in Castle Rising.

Hi, Regarding the name of the Road where William was in 1861 , I think it is Jarretts Lane, but I can't find it on modern maps - River Road is mentioned which must be nearby as it is the previous place mentioned on that page of the census.

Hi Nikk,
I see on FreeReg that they have the following - William son of John and Mary Raines,  born 7 Sep 1836 and bap 29 Sept 1836 - abode Broad Street, Lynn, father's occupation labourer - This bap was at King's Lynn St Margarets.
I checked on the census and found that 1851 John and Mary Raynes were living at Castle Rising with their children and William is listed as born Lynn.
Have you got the census information?
