Sorry Ewan, I forgot to say he did die in Wroughton but I dont know the address.  I will check the 1841 census but I guess that wont confirm much because he died before and the family could have moved.  Also I think the 1841 census may just say The Tything of Wroughton.  Something like that but will look.

Thank you Ewan.  The second Prince family is the correct one and Philip is just typed incorrectly.  Should be Philip Prince.  The death certificate just states 11th June, 1839 - consumption. Honor Green in attendance at time of death. (found out to be sister of Mary Ann Harris(Prince) Wilts and Swindon Council confirmed that there was a school in Wroughton and it was taken over by the National School System in 1818.  James White was christened in May 1797.   Brothers were John Simmons, Jubal,Thomas Nash and Ann Simmons.  They were hot on the surname of past relatives for middle names.

Thank you Ewan for the info.  James White Prince - I have his death certificate and he died in 1839 - he was  a National School Master in Wroughton.  I have the births of his children etc...all happened in Wroughton. He was christened in Wanborough.  His parents were Jane Ann White and Thomas Prince, Parish Clerk.  homas was christened in Liddington.  Everything I have found so far, states Wroughton apart from his christening.  Mary Harris's father was a Miller in Wroughton.  They were related by marriage to the Green family of Wroughton - Bakers.  Greens Lane Wroughton named after Thomas Green. The James Prince you mention is definitely related and I have followed him through to perhaps being a cousin with the same grandmother.  "Maisey" is his middle name and I think the grandmothers maiden name. Confusing when they all named their children the same christian names! It remains an ongoing slog to relate all the Prince/Harris family correctly. Not in the least being Thomas Prince Sahagoone Harris!
Sahagoone???? I have found a family tree online for him, so know all the info but just that final link???
So thank you very much and will double check into the info.   Sue

Trying to find a marriage for James White Prince to Mary Ann Harris both of Wroughton and between the years 1820 to 1826.  It does not seem they married in Wroughton or anywhere close.  Does anyone have any info on where marriages took place during those years. http://

Does anyone know if there is anywhere online I can check back this far - not on familysearch.com.
Many thanks if you can help.
