could be, Stinson is on the birth certificate but names sometimes were spelt differently. I am waiting for the copy of the birth certificate of my grandfather and it has Stinson but waiting on the rest of the info.

I know he had 2 sisters. Is there any other information?

To see if you can see my great grandfather marriage to my great grandmother

William James Stinson, in Dungannon in 1915 to a Stinson. Sorry this is all I have.
They had a son Samuel James Somerville born 1922 in Dungannon.

Help gratefully received.

I have contacted them through facebook; who'd have thought that Pune Freemason's Lodge would have a facebook page!

Ok, I have researched a bit more, asked questions and seemed to be progressing. Another helping hand from those in the know, would be still appreciated.

Poona or now known as Pune in India seems to be the place of the photo and therefore probably the lodge. I've looked at the many aprons but don't really know what I'm looking at, colour tassles not sure what the clues are to identify the lodge. I have contacted the lodge via Facebook (!!!???!) so that may produce results. What else can I do? I haven't tracked down the original medals but there were so many children they could be anywhere.

Also the family left India in 1939, what happens then? Do you join another lodge, how does it work? As you tell I know little to nothing about secret societies but really should and there seems to be untold family members in them. What with this and the Orange Order on my side (don't even know where to start with that one)......

Thank you to those that have already helped me, sorry to be a pain

Can anybody tell me anything about the medals. He was, at the time serving in the army. He later became a lieutenant in the Indian Army. Are they military metals or do they have medal in the freemans? Sorry for my ignorance.

The photo was taken in 1921 in India. Probably in Poona but they moved around a lot. Could anybody recommend a way of finding out what lodge he may have been attached.
