Hello, marriage cert arrived for Charles Deer. Father listed as David Colbert.

David Colbert is the husband of Mary Deer ( Charles mother ).
They were married in 1842 Sawtry, Huntingdonshire.

Have made enquiries for a bith cert to lay the matter to rest- or maybe find a new mystery to solve.

I had hoped by posting two enquires ( casting the net bigger  ) I might have got a response from you wonderful people  that's all.

Hi Susan, thanks very much. I am awaiting Marriage cert of Charles Deer to see what the fathers name is, I am hoping that it will say NONE. Plus extra information of witness names etc.

This would prove that his mother is Mary or Elizabeth.

Will advise a.s.a.p

I must agree with Bee on this you never know where you can find sneeky little cousins hiding. My tree has a lot of cousin/2nd cousin marriages.

I found my Grandfather by accident as a lodger when seeking my Grt Uncle's spouse.
All information is interesting. File it away you never know when it may come in uselfull.
