Surnames: Chat*way, Hill, Mitchell, 2 x Brown, Holbrook, Griffin & Wedge.
Anyone else doing research into these names? Mainly from the Goodmans Fields, Cornwall St. Shadwell & Wapping areas with some from Spitalfields.
(I have lots of leads and certificates unconnected with my family lines which I’m happy to share). Be great to hear from any cousins.

Chattaway via Alexander b1821, James b1848 and Thomas Benjamin b1872 (who married Mary Ann Hill b1874).

Hill via James Snr (a Waterman) b1811, James b1852 (who married Frances Mitchell, also b1852, daughter of William Mitchell a Plasterer b1821 St Pancras) and Mary Ann b1874.

Brown 1 via Mary Brown b about 1848 daughter of James and Mary. She only married James Chattaway b1848 in 1890 after they'd been together from about 1870.

Brown 2 via Robert Brown b 1836? son of Thomas (and Sarah Beharel?). Robert married Emily Griffin b11/12/1851, daughter of Edward & Jane Griffin. Robert & Emily’s daughter Mary Jane married John Henry Wedge.

Anyone with any more info. on Martha (Groves) who married Samuel Wedge b1815-20 and her daughter-in-law Ann Holbrook, daughter of Thomas & Jeanette (Ratray) etc?

Hollingsworth via Connie Hollingsworth who married Mary Ann (Didi) Chattaway in 1923 leading to, Connie, Eddie and Frances by 1937, then Mary born about 1940.

Thanks

How to Use RootsChat (Please don't post requests here) / Re: Can I post this
« on: Sunday 18 November 07 12:43 GMT (UK)  »
Am I allowed to put a very small part of a page from the online  'Berliner Adressbüche' website. to see if rootschatters can translate any of it for me?
(It would only be the part relevant to the person I think is in OH's tree)

Regards

Hello,

My request isn't connected to your enquiry but yours was the nearest (and only way) I could find to post something (hopefully).
I am new and have been looking for the 'Post a Topic' button. Plenty of advice on how to answer, and Berlin Bob's advice for beginners covered everything but.
Maybe I'm thick.
Please help, or forward this, if you can.
Many thanks
