Hi

Sadly no.  Is this a document that you can purchase or a family document that tends to be passed on by word of mouth?

Thank you both very much for your efforts.  You now see why I'm confused.

The Adria I need to trace back married a William Bowring on 5 Jun 1772 in Winterborne St Martin and I had initially thought that she was the daughter of John Ironside (born 1702 and his wife also called Adria!) but had then come to the conclusion that the Adria that died in 1747 was actually their child.

This left me with the Adria born in 1750 and I then began to think she was actually the daughter of John Ironside (the son of J Ironside 1702) and Mary Mudford as their other children's births tied in around the same dates and it was a bit late for the other family.

It doesnt look like I'm ever going to know for certain as I didnt realise an Adria also died in 1758 and another born around 1781!!!

Scratches head  ???

Dorset Lookup Requests / Long Bredy - IRONSIDES/MUDFORD
« on: Friday 10 March 06 11:35 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I'm looking for any parish records on John Ironsides and Mary Mudford who married in Long Bredy on 17 April 1750.  Any details on children would be much appreciated.

I'm particularly interested to know if they had a daughter Adria born in 1750. There seems to be a lot of confusion in the Familysearch records on who the parents were of Adria Ironside born in 1750.

Frances I think it probably is but many thanks for looking.  I suspect they are related so I'd be very grateful if you could post the names of the other siblings.

Dorset / Trevetts

Hi

I'm looking for information on the Trevetts living in Winterborne St Martin/Winterborne Steepleton area in the late 1700's.  In particular the parents of Mary Trevett who was born around 1780 in Winterborne Steepleton. I understand this area was known later as Martinstown. Mary married John Bowring (born abt. 1778 in Winterborne St Martin - parents William and Aidra Bowring).

Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Cissellby

Do you know where I can get hold of 1841 census record HO107/682/14/34. So many suppliers on the net say they have various census records but some seem to only offer the info for a few counties.

The British Origins site has the 1841 census for Surrey and Essex but doesnt seem to have central London records so I'm not sure where to look.

Hi Biker and thanks for remembering me.  The only thing I've managed to find which might tie up is an Elizabeth Rea working as a housemaid in 1851 aged 14 in Westminster, London.

I reread my earlier message and the James Rea in shoreditch could have been her father. It doesnt mean to say he was alive in 1858 when Elizabeth got married. I was being dence.

I've not been able to find them in 1841.  As I said all I know was that on the marriage certificate it had James occupation as a Smith.

Bryant this is extremely helpful . Thank you so much for remembering my query. Its very kind of you. When Gainsford Gilbin Walford die in London a Jane Walford was present at his death. I think this is the relative I'm looking for.

Best wishes
