Margaret Thom was born in Scotland abt 1857/8. Her father was John Thom, a joiner.

She married a Mr Hawkins but was already a widow by 1881.

On the 1881 census, Margaret (aged 23) was a visitor to George and Mary Thom in Salford, Lancashire, England. George was most likely a brother or maybe a cousin. He was born in Scotland abt 1853/4, as was his wife, Mary, and he was a policeman. They had two small children, also born in Scotland, so it appears they had recently moved to Salford. Margaret's marriage therefore most likely took place between 1875 and 1881 in Scotland.

Any help in finding Margaret's birth, her mother and details of her marriage to Mr Hawkins would be much appreciated. Thank you

Any help in finding death and parents of Alexander (John T A) Ridley would be much appreciated.

He was probably born on 6 May 1887 (from 1939 census) in Lancashire and married Margaret Annie Doel (1900 - 1963) in Westbury, Wiltshire in 1918. They had two children: Sidney J Ridley, born 1921 and Ronald Ridley, 1925–1991. Confirmation of his birth would also be helpful - I can't find it on GRO or FreeBMD

I am trying to find information on the birth and parents of Elizabeth Good(e)y who married Joseph Smee on 25 Jun 1721 at Groton, Suffolk and was buried on 1 October 1733 at St Peter's, Sudbury.

I would also like confirmation that Joseph was born to Joseph Smee and Judith Fenn in 1678 and died on 26 Aug 1747 in Sudbury.

Elizabeth and Joseph had at least one daughter, Jane, that was baptised on 20 Oct 1731 at Sudbury and married William Finch on 18 Aug 1761 at Liston, Essex. I suspect there were other children though.

Any further information would be much appreciated.
