Regarding the
Certificate of Arrival document
I have my GF Naturalization records which include
Declaration of Intention and on the reverse side of that document is the
Certificate of Arrival.
Petition For Naturalization and on the reverse side is the Oath of Allegiance
The Declaration of Intention as well as the Petition for Naturalization contain biographical information of the applicant as well as point of departure and arrival to the US, date and manner of arrival. I am fortunate that mine also contains a photo of my GF.
According to the website
http://www.archives.gov/genealogy/naturalization/"Generally pre-1906 naturalization petitions have little biographical data. Naturalization records after September 25, 1906, generally include: the address of the person naturalized, the city of birth, occupation, immigration information, and the names and birthdates of spouses and children. Occasionally records from the 1930's and 1940's have a photograph on the Declaration of Intention. In the early 1960's, the recording of the names and birthdates of children was discontinued. "
These documents are available for a fee . You can go to their website to find out how to obtain the documents. You need to know where he was living to determine the correct district.
