Thank you LadyHawk
on the DC for Winifred her husband is shown as Edward Dec, her  father is shown as Edward (Dec) and Mo as Mary Hogg ms Gallacher (Dec) informant Catherine Rose (dau) address 48 McAslin St, Glasgow.    Isuppose if he was deceased there may have been a mix up.

Sligo / Roseanne/ Rose Ann Logan 1862-1926

Hi Folks - I am trying to find details of Roseanns family.    She was born around 1862 in Ireland and married a soldier from the 5th Regiment, George Palmer on 10 February 1883 in Sligo.    I believe her parents to be Edward Logan - no details, and Winifred Hogg born around 1829 also in Sligo.
George and Rose had a child Mary Winifred born 1885 probably in Sligo.
George died in 1901 and Rose 1926 both Glasgow (George same address as Winifred Hogg)
Winifred (Hogg) died in City Poorhouse (Residence 48 McAslin St), Glasgow on 8 April 1896.

any help with the details of Edward and Winifred Logan (Hogg) and births of children in Sligo would be much appreciated.

Daisy

thanks very much for the info.   The ages agree with what I know.    I wonder if they all died of disease, accident etc.    I have tried newspapers of the period but nothing coming up

will persevere and thanks again

Hi Rosie and Bumble B.     Many thanks for the info and apologies but I have taken John out of the query.   I now have all info required for him.

I have found the following:

Anne - married William Knight 19 Oct 1808 Alton
Thomas - married Mary Anne Linney 16 Oct 1819
James - married Elizabeth Puttick 2 Apr 1820

and of course Elizabeth married James Cann 21 Nov 1812.    I have seen a tree with this family and Eliz parents on it which states that Elizabeth died in 1816 and was buried on the same day her Fa Joseph and her son William Cann were buried (7 May in Alton) but can find no trace of this at  the moment.

I am loath to put these details on my tree without further corroboration.

again many thanks for your help

Harry

Totally fed up with the errors etc over the last few months hence my move to Ancestry!!!

Did you manage to get the half price subscription  :-\

Almost half price yes and much happier although it has taken quite a bit of fiddling to understand the tree and searching.    All good now
