Apologies, just re-read my original post - it should read John Fletcher married Elizabeth Jones 1862 .... their son Joseph was born in 1864.  I must have been having a brain storm!!!! Arrrggghhh .....

Thanks very much - I have just sent for the certificate, so hopefully, I will be able to progress further.  Funny you should mention Roberts though, I have been told that Roberts also figures in this family somewhere along the line that I am researching.  Have you come across any Fletchers or Jones in your research?

Thanks for that, I couldn't find them on the census either at that time.  I did find them later up north, they moved with the pits.  I am going to order the marriage cert and hopefully go on from there. I did find many Elizabeth Jones' when trying to find her birth cert. I thought I had found her on the 1851 Flintshire census, but no way of knowing if they are the right family.

Thank you VERY MUCH for coming back to me.  I am new to this really and just finding my way slowly.  I did find an entry on the Cheshire BMD org, but I wasn't sure I had the right one. With the reference you have provided I will order the certificate and hopefully, I will be on my way.  As you know, the Jones' are a nightmare.  Thanks again.

Silvery, interested in your searches for Jones, I am really struggling and wonder if you have come across Elizabeth Jones born Mold Flintshire, married John Fletcher Chester, I believe in 1862.  Elizabeth and John had a son Joseph in 1864, living at Bakers Court, Steam Mill Street, Chester.  I am trying to find any info on either the Jones' side, Davies is a connection here, or any info on Fletchers in Great Boughton Cheshire. Just a long shot - thank you

Has anyone done the Fletcher/Jones/Davies/Evans Tree? I am stuck around 1840's.  Joseph Fletcher (born 1864 Chester Castle) from Gt Boughton, Chester married Elizabeth Jones from Mold, Flintshire. Joseph's father was John, from Chester.  I am trying to find Elizabeth's family on the census, however, as there are "millions" of Jones' in Wales, I am struggling big time! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am new to the website, but am fascinated with your family tree, as some of the names are in my family history.  Please could you check to see if you have an Elizabeth Jones, born Mold, Flintshire c 1844. She married John Fletcher from Chester. I am struggling with places in Wales.
