« on: Saturday 06 November 04 20:27 GMT (UK)  »
Is it just me?

I have been using the Ancestry.co.uk to check family links in the 1871 and 1901 census recently......

but no more, I guess it was just a trial period which is over now?

Does anyone know?

I can see there are no NOCKLES on the list but I wondered if you have come across any in your travels thru' Battersea.

James Nockles, b. abt 1845
Parents - James Nockles and Elizabeth (I think) married about 1839

Thanks
Hilary

Clackmannanshire / cOMPLETE. Thank you, Clackmannan, Looking for BROWN
« on: Monday 01 November 04 08:12 GMT (UK)  »
I was wondering if anybody out there was able to find any information on a family from Tillicoultry, Clackmannan.

Catherine Walker BROWN b. c1844 came to Australia on the Assisted passage scheme in October 1854, she was 10 years old.

she came with her parents:

Father - David Brown, 41
Mother - Elizabeth Terris or Terres, 43
[I have her mother and father from her marriage and death certificates]

Also travelling on the ship were:
William, 27
Elizabeth, 20
Margery, 19
Helen, 18
Annie, 16
Robert, 4
Anne, 1

I think there maybe two families here??

I have also found David and Elizabeth's parents at the LDS site.

David BROWN
Father - George Brown
Mother - Christian Morgan

Elizabeth TERRIS or Terres
Father - Andrew Terres
Mother - Jean Smith

Any Information would be great,
Hilary

Norfolk Completed Look up Requests / COMPLETE = 1851 census Norfolk HALLOWELL
« on: Wednesday 27 October 04 09:43 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

I have been researching 'Hallowell' to search for all forenames.

Part of the results in the United Kingdom Census Index 1851.

I think that these people are the family (families) that I have been looking for though it has two of each name, one in Norfolk and one in Cambridge.

The names (all have the surname HALLOWELL) and ages are:
Betsy, 4
James, 5
John, 29
John, 6
Joseph, 38
Mary, 31
Rebecca, 2
Rebecca, 8
Rebecca, 32
Samuel, 0.05 (?)
Sarah, 8
William, 3

The family that interests me Immigrated to Australia in 1855 so doesn't appear in later census.

I appreciate your help  :)

I am looking for SAWYER's on the 1851 or 1861 census

Living at 11 Downham Road, West Hackney.

This is the address of residence on the birth Certificate of James Sawyer b. 28 February 1848 (the address is not too clear, I hope this is actually what it says)

Children:
