London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Is Islington in Middlesex???
« on: Thursday 26 January 06 11:45 GMT (UK)  »
Thankyou for trying. This really is a mystery. A friend has found a marriage in Islington in sep 1899 between Richard james w Pinn and Alice Florence Thomas. The problem is that neither of them seem to appear on any census that we have looked on. I have my husbands Grandfathers birth certificate which gives the names and all is matching the marriage except the first name which may of been wrongly transcribed. Donald Alfred Pinn was born in 1907 which is why we have a problem and the address given has another family there on the 1901 census.
Where would i apply for a mariage certificate too now if Islington was in Middlesex but now London? Would it be the same registrars office?
thankyou very much for your help trying to trace the marriage. I am new to this genealogy and to be honest i dont even know where to begin.

Does anybody know which site would have the most complete 1901 census with inclusions of the garw valley and tredeger?? I am trying to find my family of morgans that i know were born prior to 1901 yet i cant seem to find them. I only have a few of the names of my G- grandfathers siblings but they were a big family and none of the families i have found match at all. Should anybody find an Elvira, Stanley, Llewellyn and Thomas Henry on their searches please let me know.
thanks.

It may sound like a dull question but i am trying to trace a person that was married in islington in 1899. Its a Richard James Walter Pinn that we believe to actually of been called Robert not Richard. He married an Alice Florence Thomas but  i cant find them on any online census.
All help would be gratefully received as it my husbands g-grandfather who his father never met and we are hoping to track down some details for him.
Thanks to all.

Could the Joseph of been born in Llangynwd ?? for as far as i know thats were we always were and how i inherited the houses in coytrahen which we sold early 80s.
Thanks  ;)
