Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Re: John PRUDHAM 1807 - 1889

A few things found that may indicate this string of posts should relate to Yorkshire North.
1. I too located the death of Tamar PRUDOM in 1865, that being in Yorkshire North
2. Brother Mark is actually a half brother to John, I have discovered.  After a brief stint in Canada with John, he was in the 1841, 1861 and 1871 English Census as Mark PRUDOM the later two in Bransdale which I believe is in North Yorkshire.  Have also tracked a gravestone which I believe is his.  Buried in St Nicholas, Bransdale as Mark PRUDHOM. Still no parentage for the three.
Tamar was older and was close to John after the death of their mother when he was about 4.  Father remarried and had Mark.

A cousin of mine tells me there was a brother to John.  Perhaps another clue.  I have been unable to trace anything on it.
Mark used the last name PRODHOM and pronounced it as such.
He also came to Canada, but later returned to England.  A neighbor of my cousin returned from a trip to England with a picture of his gravestone.
When my cousin gets back from winter vacation in Florida she says she will forward it to me.  At that time I will post it.
Thanks to all for keeping an eye open for me.

As a variation on the subject, how about unfortunate initials.
I won't use his full last name because I'm sure he is still around, but back in High School there was a fellow names Vern Davi...........
We called him "disease".   Maybe one should say unfortunate friends.

NOTE: The caption for the picture of the John Prudham house on the Halinet link below has been corrected.  It now no longer says the house was destroyed in 2005.
Thanks to a cousin who lives nearby who contacted the site.  She verified to them that the house still stands.

Thanks The Mc and Trish1120
The Mc  -  Just after I made the post I realized there were three Yorkshire areas, so not sure I am even in the right "Yorkshire".
That being said, I have seen the picture (your link) before and often visit the site as the area is a hotbed of my mother's side of the family
The child Charles in the picture is my maternal Grandfather and raised his family there.  I have stayed at the home myself as a boy.  It should be pointed out that the house still stands and was not demolished in 2005 as noted in the picture caption.
Trish1120  -  You are right that the children's names can present a clue.  There is a Hannah amongst the children.  Also from a Family Reunion booklet of 1928 John's birth year is listed as 1809, not the 1807 as I have above, but his death record seems to support 1807 (died age 82).
Thanks again to you both.   :)

More specifically his parentage, etc.
Would like to uncover this.

My mother often spoke of a friend when she was young, likely the '20's.
Friend Ima's last name was Hogg.   ???
How could parents do that.

Mmmmmmmm ....... I can't agree.
At least I don't see them as the same person.
Thomas has curly hair and unknown rellie's is straight.
Not sure where unknown rellie is supposed to be from, but Thomas is born, raised and died in Ontario, Canada.
