Can anybody find out if a marriage between Brice Thompson (b.1898) & Emily Patterson (b. 1902)took place in St Anne's sometime in the 1920's?    ???

Also, is there anyway of finding out about the births and early deaths of two of their five children (a boy & a girl) in the 1920's?   ???

Thanks

Has anybody got any Woods or Campbell connection in their 'tree'?
My 3x grandfather was called Allen Woods and his daughter Sarah (my 2x grandmother) married Joseph Campbell (my 2x grandfather) in 1860 at Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church.

Sarah had at least 3 sisters (Eliza, Catherine & Mary), but I don't know anything about Joseph's family except that his father was called William.

Does this information sound familiar with anyone? I have reached a brick wall

Thanks Aghadowey

Brice & Emily were still living in N. Ireland at the time of their marriage & divorce. It's just that when my grandmother died their were no marriage or divorce papers amongst her personal things so it just set me awondering. I would also like to find out the names and DOB & DOD of my late Aunt & Uncle who died very young in the 1920's

At least now I have the actual year that my grandad died, a middle name I didn't know (which might be a surname of previous generations) and the date that he remarried and My strp-grandmother's DOD.  Lots of information, again thanks

Antrim / Thompson/Patterson marriage

I have a bit of a puzzle.

My paternal grandparents (Brice Thompson c.1900 & Emily Patterson b.1902) were supposedly married in St Annes Cathedral in the 1920's. They had 5 children (1 girl & 4 boys), two of which died young in the 1920's. They were left with 3 boys, my father and two uncles

My grandparents were supposedly separated some time after the war and eventually got a divorce. My granddad went to the Isle of Wight to live and got remarried.

First of all, I can't find any record of them being married  ???
or divorced  ??? and I can't find any record of the births/deaths of my young deceased aunt/uncle  ???.

The question is, were my grandparents even married?
Would be grateful if someone could help me.

I think your Joanna Finn may have been related to my father-n-law Thomas Finn born 1917 in Youghal, Co. Cork. He was the youngest of nine children born to Joseph Finn & Catherine Gleeson, five names of which correspond with the names yuo have mentioned above. Your Joanna and my Joseph Finn may have been sister & brother or cousin.

Thanks Kingskerwell, Rob & jinks64.

I already know a little about JJ Lynch, it was info on Rebecca Norris I was really looking for. In the church records it states that she was from Ardmore, which is just outside Londonderry, N. Ireland and that her father was Robert Norris. Does anyone else know anything else about her or her family?

Does anybody know anything of Rebecca Norris (Ardmore) who married John James Lynch (Drumahoe) at Glendermott Presbyterian Church in 1891. Rebecca's father was Robert Norris

Thanks everyone

With all your help I was able to determine that James Lecky was the youngest of four children to James & Ellen who got married in 1881 and that he lived in Abercorn Road which would have put him in The Long Tower Parish area.

Mary Rose Flynn was the oldest of four living children of James & sarah who got married around the same time (c 1880/81 - although the only entry for James Flynn & Sarah in Emerald ancestors is 1879???). They lived in William Street which would have made the Cathedral their local church.

So my next move is to find entries of their parents respective marriages to find their grandfathers' names. I know Mary Rose's maternal was called Elizabeth as she lived with them at the time of the 1911 census, that will make find siblings of Mary Rose's dad a bit easier.

Any help from others would be gratefully appreciated

Using the 1911 census I've worked out that joseph & Catherine (Kate) got married around 1893/4 and that they both came from Queens Co. which I believe is Co Laois. Joseph was born about 1874 and Catherine about 1877. Is there anybody that have Finn's & Gleeson's in their family tree from around that region that may have a connection they would like to share.

Yours hopefully
Frances
