Cornwall / St Winnow Burial 1791
« on: Wednesday 22 June 22 09:53 BST (UK)  »
Dear all,

I have found reference to a burial of a Benjamin Stephens at St Winnow on 5th January 1791 on FindMyPast. Does anyone have access to copies of the records to be able to provide me with an image of the actual record in the Registers or would I have to go to Truro for the record?

Cornwall / Parish Registers for St Winnow, St Veep and Lostwithiel

Dear all,

Does anyone have access to the Parish Records for St Winnow and St Veep. I am very much wanting to confirm:
Baptism of Richard Stephens - possibly 29 July 1775 St Winnow
Baptism of Dorcas Morrish in 1774, St Veep
Death of Richard Stephens, possibly 1850 (possibly St Winnow)
Death of Dorcas Stephens (nee Morrish) in 1852, possibly Lostwithiel

Thank you

Keith

Thank you Cidermaker. Yes, I had found the records you mention except the burial of George Keen in 1824. Regarding the 1841 Census where there is a John Keen aged 55 I think this could be the John Keen I am searching but for that to be true, I'd need to find a Baptism for Ann circa 1821 and I haven't found that? I have found John in 1851 as a retired Gardener aged 60 and a Widow. What I haven't found are:
1) Baptism of John Keen circa 1882 - all records point to Willesden
2) a Marriage of John Keen and "Mary". From the ages of the children, perhaps around 1815?
3) A baptism of a possible daughter Ann Keen circa 1821.

Any help you can offer is very much appreciated.

Correction. John Keen was born in Willseden in 1782. (He was 69 years old in the 1851 Census)

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Keen Family from Willesden early 1800s
« on: Monday 23 May 22 09:44 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I am researching the Keen Family. What I know:
John Keen married "Mary" - was this in Willesden (Green), circa 1815/16

John and Mary had 4 known children, all baptised at St Marys' Wiilesden:
William Keen 1817
John Keen   1819
James Keen  1822
George Keen  1824

John Keen was a Gardener. I have found him in the 1851 Census (although not 1841) showing he was born in Willesden Green in 1798- can anyone find this baptism? Secondly, did John Keen and Mary marry in Willesden circa 1816?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks again folks. So where was John Williamson in 1841 then? I can't find him in Witham Green or anywhere.

This must be him as I know John Williamson, William's son, was living in Witham Green in 1841

Great start Rosie. That would tie in. It also confirms William Williamson was born in 1781. Now, who were his parents?
