Thank you, I will email them now and ask.  It would be great to find out where she is.
Take care, hope it stops raining for you soon (unless you are like me and like to go walking in the rain)

I sent the email and  Sarah is indeed buried there with her husband and children. They said she died on 15/04/1948   aged  79    0               34 Ford Street     A2082

Is the 34 Ford Street where Sarah would have been living at the time of he death. I did assume so ,
but then thought 'better check"
It is great to have found them both together.

I'm sorry but no idea. When she came to Australia she never told her children about herself or her family.

Thanks guys for the info. I am not sure if Sarah had a second name, nothing anyone has indicates it, but I know that it  is not set in cement.
If it is any help William was supposed to be a house painter and played the violin.
I do not have the exact dates but Willie died in 1928 and Sarah lived a lot longer dying in 1948.
The family names that seemed to come down were Dorothy, William, John and Margaret. Willie is buried in Burnley Cemetery but I do not know about where Sarah was buried.
Many thanks for your wonderful, marvelous help

geno500, this site is amazing with everything it has. I had to stop my research 4 years ago due to an illness and it is staggering how much more is available on the Internet in that time, and the people here !!!!! just brilliant.

I don't have a lot of information to give, but I am looking for a marriage between Willie Simpson and Sarah Sutcliffe. Willie ( I really hope it turns out to be William) was born 1869, Sarah was born 1868. Their first child Elizabeth died at 10 months in October 1891. I believe the marriage took place in Burnley. Any help muchly appreciated and if I can do anything in Sth Australia for anyone, just ask.
Cheers and thanks for looking at this.

Meant to say I do not know the year but am assuming something like 1890 - 1891

Wow! thank you so much, you people are just wonderful. All that info in one post. I have left the Simpson line till last as we really had not much to go on.  I was not aware so much info was available. many many thanks.
Mosiefish, whenever you get time, I know I am asking for a lot. Thank you for offering. I had no idea of the info available online so will go look at that as well. I just never figured that Willie and Sarah might be living with a relative.
Cheers.

1. No ultimate goal, I just love jigsaws.
2. My cutoff point is always extending.
3. Question everything several times and don't add it to your database until absolutely positive. When one door closes another opens, it may be hard to find it, but it is there somewhere. Enjoy yourself.

Lancashire Completed Lookup Requests / Burnley Cemetery COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 09 March 11 10:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hello there, I am looking for someone(if at all possible) who could have a look at the cemetery.
I am doing my husbands family tree and cannot get back beyond his grandfather. His name was Willie Simpson (wife Sarah Sutcliffe) and Willie payed to have his daughter Elizabeth buried in Aug 1892.
Her grave number is A2082 ( from the receipt) Would this be enough information for someone to have a look at the grave for me and see if there is a headstone (I have my doubts, things were tight I believe). Maybe something there that will help me.
Many thanks for looking this up and if you need anything from Adelaide, Sth Australia, I'm your person.
Cheers and many thanks.
