London and Middlesex / Re: 1901 Census look-up;

Just had a re-read of the 1901 Census posted by Karenlee.  The birthplace is right and it states that she was unmarried.  This has really thrown a cat among the pigeons.  Maybe her name was Barrett and she was never before George.

Thanks for the interest.  Mary marries George Skipper in 1906. I have trached her from the 1911 Census.  She is married to George and living with them is a son, Frank Samuel Bora Barrett.  This is how I began chasing her.  I don't know what her maiden name is, because there is also a Mary Jane Riches married to Richard Barrett.  This is why I'm after the 1901 Census.  Family history is so much fun, isn't it? ;D

Hi, I'm looking for Barrett, Mary Jane b1870???, Kentish Town, London.  She is married to Richard Barret, don't know when or where he was born.  Can somebody help me with this please, as Richard dies and she re-marries in the 1911 Census.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Thank you for these look-ups.  On the website familysearch.org, it gives the marriage name of the bride as Dorothy Spencer.  I don't have access to the marriage register only the baptisms.  There is no Dorothy Spencer baptised in Aysgarth only Spence.  I wanted to verify this before I proceeded. This makes it much cleared.
The marriage of Frances to Eleanor, was that in 1805??? as I can't find any mention of this? Was her name Bell??? Each answer creates another question.
Thanks again.

Could use all the help I can get please as there are millions of Robinsons in Yorkshire.  ;D

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Re: Census look-up; SAGE family.

Hi everybody.  Well I'm stumped.  I don't have the original marriage cert. of Fred and Jane, but I agree that it is highly unlikely to be baptised and married in one county when you were born in another.  The doubt that I have, is that, if Sampson was a surveyor, he would travel all over the country. Also, as the son of a surveyor, would he become a carpenter.  In the 1841 census, Fred's profession was a labourer and in the 1871 he was a carpenter. I may have to send for Frederick's birth certificate to find his parents.

Thanks everyone for your help, but now I'm in a bit of a pickle.  I thought that the one staying with Frederick, was his mother-in-law Eliza Sage, but there she is at home, the other Eliza Sage, with her husband, in the second Census.  So now I must find out who the first Eliza is.  Oh the joys of genealogy.  I never used to drink alcohol before I started doing this.  Time for a glass of red, I think.  :D

Thanks, I was wondering if you could also find Eliza's husband Sampson.  I believe that he was born in Somerset 1799. I can't believe that a family with such an easy name can be this hard to find.
Thanks for all your help.
