Hi annep5862,

If the information is only as good as the informant, then maybe the marriage certificate name on James and Esther is wrong. I can't find a quigley that married James and had the two sons I know.

Also, on the orig marriage certificate of James Duffy and Mary quigg (that I found) , they listed their parents as Duffey and mcQuig. It appears the names change with whoever records it.

How can I be sure I wonder?

Looked at writing again last night. Now it appears to say " Quig is deceased". But I may be seeing what I want to see. I also see Mary more than Ann.

Would the parents information be on my grandfathers death certificate. He is buried in St. Peter's Dalbeth Cemetery in Glasgow , Scotland.

Regarding the marriage cretic ate I previously posted.... This shows my grandfather James Duffy married my grandmother Esther Ferns on June ninth 1900 at St Mungo's Church in Glasgow, Scotland.
I can make out Esther's parents as John Ferns and Elizabeth Ferns MS Mulholland. That is accurate.
I can make out James' father as James Duffy and ??? Duffy MS ??? (Deceased)

From birth certificates for James and his brother John, I have their mother listed as Mary Quigg. This spelling makes me question myself as to whether I traced back correctly.

I need to solve this issue before I go further. Any suggestions.

I found a Graveyard Inscription Record from rootsireland. I would like to find out where I could get a copy of the actual death certificate. I am struggling to get a picture uploaded. Will check with my son in law tonight. Also, how can I get right back to this posting? I always go back to my first reply email for the link. There must be a better way. Thanks for your help.

I have found documentations for a few different ancestors. They all say plot 0745. I thought that might refer to a family plot. Does anyone know what the plot number refers to?

I can just Make out witnesses James McNulty and Elizabeth Mc Laughlin. Guessing on minister Pouskimus Gartome  or Bartome????  Doesn't look like any name I have seen before
Last column states June 11th 1900 in Glasgow. registrars name appears to be G. Millow Buchanan.
Church appears to be St. M------- Church (last three letters look Like gor or goh)

Is there any way I can upload this image I have?

Found statutory marriage for my grandparents.
The writing is in clear in places.
I can make out that
James Duffy married Esther Duffy in June. I can read the word church and Glasgow.
James ' s mothers' surname is not clear either.
The marriage happened in 1900 in the district of St. Rollox in the county of Glasgow.
It looked like Esther lived on Monkland street and James lived on Military road.
Can anyone suggest the Catholic Church name? will the parish have a record of the marriage as well?
