I have already checked the 1871 and 1881 census for Hunslet, surrounding area, and the whole of Yorkshire.

That is what it looks like to me, but I cannot find anyone in FreeBMD with that surname up to 1980.

A difficult surname has cropped up in the St Silas, Hunslet, Leeds, baptism register.

18 Aug 1872 Elizabeth [daughter of] William and Matilda Lal?

Unfortunately, these maps are for the wrong Oulton.

The Oulton I am interested in is in the Leeds area of West Yorkshire.
