Thank you for your reply I am looking into this side of the family for my mother in law who does not know much of the family or does not speak much of it I have started the family tree of the yellands on ancestry i don't know if you have access but if you have any photo's / information you are willing to share i would be more than gratefull for any help. the name Jane runs in the Derry side of the family as a middle name would you be willing to share any of your family tree ??

would you be able to tell me would still births be recorded at this time or would they just be brushed under the carpet so to speak as i have been told that one of the thirteen births was a twin but can not seem to find any more details, sorry if this post and it's contents offend anyone.

This is getting more and more complicated but what's new there with family history.

found Henry's baptism as you had listed think i have found out who Mary Brock is looks like Mary Yelland married Mark Brock in DEC 1832 which is why the children are showing up with Mary Brock on the 1841 census. but there seems to be more than one marriage (i think ) for mark possibility of 1798 to a Eliza Hooper on The 8th may.


a plea to any one that can help make any sense of this please

living in Civil parish Iddesleigh does any one have access to any earlier census please.

having hit a brick wall on one side of the family i am moving on to the other side so here goes:

help with the following if you can please:

searching back from my mother in law Zena Yelland and her 12 brother's and sisters who i have all of them (i think ) her parents are Harry Yelland and Fanny Edith Mary Bradley i have Harry's dad as Henry yelland who married an Elizabeth ??? all Yelland children were born Isle of Wright and Henry was born Iddesleigh Devon and that's all I have

thanks for that Pauline but i believe that some of those post belong to Enos G Deary Norwich and not the one i am looking for who was born 1860 ish in Lincon who i can not seem to find after 1871. This family has been both a pain and a mystery from the beginning so it looks like more searching is still needed. Thinking that the Enos G is linked some where but where not sure.

Thanks to all the roots chatters that have helped with this one.

i know belive i have found his death record in 1919 as Enos Derry Goole 9c 1934 i would love anyhelp that anyone could give me. As i still can not find him passed the 1871 cenus.
