Kent / Re: Rochester,Chatham Gillingham News paper.
« on: Friday 16 May 14 11:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi, It seems that cityArk hold the relevant newspapers in microfilm form, and they will take a copy for
you, for a 'small fee' but admit that the quality wont be great, I did ask the Kent Messenger group,
who took over the 'Chatham etc. News', but they do not hold any negatives from these papers,
I assume that the copy that the cityArk would take, probably wouldn't be much better than the
cutting you have, but I would be happy to go the the centre (I live in Strood) and get a copy for you,
Gone are the days it seems of getting original photo's from archive papers.
                      Regards
                                  Celia

Thank you shanew147, I have previously tried to download the form from this site, and it seems that my
Mac comp. is unable to do this, so obviously I need to get this problem sorted.

                    Many thanks.

Galway / Marriage certs.
« on: Thursday 22 November 12 15:24 GMT (UK)  »

 Hi,
Are copies of marriage certs. available for 1865 in Galway, I believe I have found the correct record on

'Family Search', I have tried the GRO Ireland, but it's not possible to download an order form from them in

English, other sites say from 1920 onwards, hence my question.

                  Many thanks for any info.

    Hi,
I have a burial date of 16th. Oct. 1821, but so far have not found where he was buried, so I've
just sent an enquiry to Medway Council, to see if he was buried in the Cemetery, as the place of death was given as Chatham, I have had no luck in finding his wife's grave either.

Thanks again Shane, didn't think about it being a page no. !
To apply for a birth cert. for Joseph, would it be to an address in Ireland ?  I live in England.

Galway / 241, Renvyle
« on: Wednesday 31 August 11 13:15 BST (UK)  »
On 'Family Search' my ancestor's birth place was given as  241, Renvyle.  so assuming it was in the
area of Renvyle, does anyone know what the number ' 241' would have referred to,   a grid or map
 reference maybe.
  Many thanks
