Hi Trish,
Many thanks for the reply and the information. I had found the family in the Census and also baptism records. Three things I noticed:
1. James and Thomas were both baptised on the same day in 1819 but in one entry the father is correctly stated as James but in the other (on the next page) is incorrectly stated as Thomas.
2. There is a baptism of an Eliza Ann in 1826 in E. Stour to James, a wheelwright, but the mother is stated as Maria, rather than Harriet. There is a 15 year old Eliza with James and Harriet in 1841, so I assume this is her and that the baptism record got the mother's name wrong.
3. Catharine Fanny was baptised in 1838 but just a few weeks later there is a burial record in the same church of a Catharine Fanny Kiddle, aged 8. So she was born in 1830, perhaps not baptised at the time, but they must have had her baptised in 1838 in the realisation that she was dying.
So the 1826 birth of Eliza Ann and the 1830 birth of Catharine Fanny help to fill the gap you mentioned.
Many thanks agian for your reply and your help. Very kind of you.
Regards,
Brian
