Ken and Trevor, my apologies - William John Morris's year of birth should have been 1891. He was 20 when he was in China.
I'll try checking with RIF museum on line to see if they have any records. I've tried looking in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website, but haven't had any luck. His mother's name was Anne(ie) Amelia and his father was also William John. They lived in London(Poplar/Bromley). We do know that he died at home in England, and that he was either too sick to fight, or died prior to WW1.
