Please may I also add a request about the Royal Flying Corps. I am looking for info on my grandfather Corporal John Louis Hubbard. He was in the South African Squad of the Royal Flying Corps.(Air 79) His number was 287470.  I would like to know if there are any records of what happened to these men after the war as my grandfather disappeared. He appears on the nominal Roll in 1919.

Looking for any information on my grandfather John Louis (Fourie) Hubbard.  He was born in Jansenville/Somerset East in 1877 or1878.  He served in the boer War and in WW1, and ended up in Air 79,  SA Squad of Royal Flying Corps, 26th Squadron.  He was a corporal and his number was 257470.  He came back after the war and then deserted my grandmother with 5 young children.  We do not know what happened to him after this.
Thank you,
Sybil
