Found this old message when doing a Google Search. I am researching the Wiseman family for a friend's daughter who is a direct descendant of William Wiseman c Elgin 1 Dec 1827, the father of Edward Wiseman mentioned below.

I am particularly interested in finding out more about Joseph Wiseman, the grandfather of this William Wiseman. Can you help at all Forfarian or anyone else?

This Wiseman family is one of mine. Edward Alexander Wiseman was born in 1884, married Jane Ann McBean in 1917 and died in 1951, all in Elgin. So you can definitely cross him off your list of possibles.

Incidentally Edward Sr was 32, not 82, and the mistranscribed occupation should read Nurseryman, Seedsman and Florist.
