Thanks and an apology!  I didn't mean to double the threads just wanted to ask a question about her unusual names.  More as a general name question than a genealogy search.
Thanks for all your help.  Very much appreciated.
I had had so much help on this thread that I thought I would ask the question about her last names and about her mother's absence in this thread.

:) Thankyou JJ, ValerieC and Debbie:  (Hope I got that right)   I have been busy all day and yesterday researching this line and have gotten a bit further.

I have a question about  a name

On family search.org under Ireland Marriages 1619-1898 I found a Jane Hewton Kittle.  She was Sarah Greacen's mom.  But Jane's Dad's last name is only listed as Hewton ??? ??? ???

And it doesn't list the mother's of the couple at all - is that because they were deceased?

Thanks,
Jan

Armagh / Re: Jane Hewton Kittle

Thanks for your reply!

All I can find so far is Jane's Marriage (it's not a certificate)  It just has the groom's name, bride's name, date of marriage, place of marriage, groom's father, and bride's father!

That's it!

Armagh / Jane Hewton Kittle
« on: Thursday 23 June 11 17:50 BST (UK)  »
Jane Hewton Kittle was married to George Hawthorn on 27 Sep 1853 in Drumcree, Arm. Ireland
Her dad is Thomas Hewton (why isn't it Hewton Kittle?)

I have looked on other genealogy sites and can only find her for that last name.
George's dad's name was Daniel Hawthorn.
If the couple's mother's were both deceased, would there be a blank for their names or is there another reason why there is no mention of the mothers.

Thanks,
Jan

Wow - thankyou so much for your help.  I really appreciate this.  Being in poor health makes it difficult to do research.
Hopefully some day, I can help someone else.

Hi Lindsay!  It's been a long time since I have been here.  I sent you a message to your private email but perhaps it got lost.
Hope all is well with you.
I think you mentioned once that you had records of our ancestors going way back.  I can certainly send you info of the more recent morrisons.  My mom's mom was a Morrison.

Thanks,
Jan
