New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: Fuller's Vaudville Company
« on: Monday 07 September 09 05:34 BST (UK)  »
Thank You Aussie Bob and Lucy2.
I have found a number of references to Jack Knowles in Papers Past site.
I can now match up  the information I suspected regarding Robert Blayney OWENS  and Beatrice Knowles.
Was this company a local based company or did they tour in the 1900's?

Thanks Biker,
I now have a marriage cert for George Jacobs and  Mary Groves. Having trouble reading the name of the church on it. Looks like St Batholomews but I can find no reference to that church in Bethnel Green or local areas. And the I'll follow up on the census and birth. Both look positive.
George's father was Joseph Jinks JACOBS and that name 'Jinks' appears time and time again down thru' the family.
Now the search for Joseph Jinks Jacobs goes on.

I am researching J J Jacobs who was my Ggrandfather.
He married Emma EADES in 1868 at Stepney.
I'm wanting info. on his parents
and also
Emma's parents who were James William EADES and Catherine POUND (formerly BAKER)
but apart from 1848 census I can't find any further info on Emma's side.

Here is a scan of the family photo, and a blowup of the plate. Yes, it is a big one.

I have a photo of gmother, gfather & children. Taken in 1922, England (London?)
In this photo there is displayed a large plate (perhaps approx. 60 cms across. material unknown)
According to 90yr old aunt it was given to gmother on the birth of her 10th child by local council?
Not by a family member.
Has anyone any more information on this.
Was this the something special? (I think having 10 kids is)
Who or what local body did this?
