Nathaniel is our Sarah Logan's (nee McAlister) brother.
He also had a daughter named Sarah who married a "cousin" Alexander McAlister.

James McAlister (Helena Caldwell) was my husband's GGgrandmother, Sarah McAlister Logan's, brother. Sarah married John Logan in Raloo in 1851.

Sarah's father, Andrew McAlister, died in 1872 and we know his wife (unknown name) died before 1872.

Sarah's brother James had a son, William McAlister, who married Sarah's youngest daughter, Elizabeth Logan, 20 March 1893 in Belfast. They eventually moved to Toronto.

I would love to share any information on this family.

This is quite an old thread, but just found out we are directly related to John Logan and Sarah McAlister. Any other information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Sandy

Elizabeth (Johnston) Sefton was dead before 1899 because her husband, Bernard Sefton is in Belfast City Cemetery and is listed as widow on his death record.  Our guess is she was born around 1860.

Elizabeth's father is Allen Johnston and we can't find him either...I was just hoping all of the Johnston/Seftons are buried somewhere together, like Shankill.

Yes, this is the family. William Martin and some of the children are in the Belfast Cemetary, but Sarah Jane is not listed there. Maggie Crone (on the census) is her sister. Her husband, James Crone is in the City Cemetary, but Margaret is not listed either.

Antrim / Shankill Cemetery Look ups

I am trying to find the burial place for Sarah Jane Crone (nee Sefton), died 1913ish. She is not in the Belfast Cemetery. Her sister, Margaret Crone (nee Sefton) died around 1915 also needs to be found.

Is there anyone who has access the the Shankill Cemetery records for a look? Their mother, Elizabeth Sefton (Johnston) died between 1891 and 1899 also can't be found. Their father, Bernard Sefton is in Belfast Cemetery with his parents.

Thanks so much!!

Going through Belfast cemetery records and I found Samuel Vance Simpson (died 1898, 20 years old) buried with my Grandmother Margaret Simpson and her mother-in-law, Ellen Simpson. Problem is I have no idea who Samuel Vance Simpson is! On Family search there  are several Simpson children (born 1871-1876) with parents William John Simpson and Mary Vance as parents.  Is there a way to search by gravesite to find others buried there? The Simpson/Vance marriage is not on Roots Ireland or Emerald Ancestors. Just looking for a little help.
