Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / Threlkeld in Hilton
« on: Thursday 21 July 11 14:17 BST (UK)  »
I have information that a George Threlkeld was born in Hilton, North Yorks on 16 dec. 1666 but cannot trace any record of a church there to confirm date of baptism. Also that he married Elizabeth Littlefair there in 1686.

Does anyone know what is the chruch covering this locality and can make a lookup to check the details shown above.

Regards

Robert

Hi Ian

I have had no joy at all in tracing a birth and christening for John Wilson! I was biding my time waiting for Coldstrem parish records to come online. Have you tried the parish records for Coldstream?

As for his wife Jane, I traced her details to 1832 Morpeth and got her parents but no further, again waiting in hope fpr records to come online.

Where do you hail from and live now?

regards Robert

Maria Blakeman was his second wife. Daniel's first wife was Frances Rymill and they had twin daughters. One twin and mother died in Stratford upon Avon in childbirth I think, the other twin died at the age of 10 and was in the care of Daniel's parents.

Not sure where Emily came from methinks a written error  and do not understand the query from ChasH as the marriage was taken from LDS IGI records!!!

Hi Shane

Quite possibly as the son described himself as a Professor when I believe essentially he was a musician perhaps he was gilding the lily a bit.

Thank you ever so much for the help, greatly appreciated.

Hi Shane

I would think that the Kearney's would have passed away by 1901 but I can look.

On Jnr's marriage certificate he was described as a musician, on the 1881 UK census was put down as a Professor of Music, aged 30 and born in Dublin. He died at the tender age of 33 in West Derby, Liverpool.

hi Shane

Your edit is correct, sorry should have spelled it out. Seems quite a coincidence if it is 2 separate people and having the same middle name. I have not found anywhere that the Kearney Snr is musical. No question on his son's marriage certificate he was described as an Attorney at Law.

Guess I will just have to wait for all the parish records to come on line and the censuses as well.

Thank you Shane. Is it possible that Stafford Street was the BA and Dominick Street, his PA? So they are all the same person. In 1881 did it show the place of birth of the Kearneys? and their age?
