Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: William Fell 1870 1911

Hi Arry,
I know this is a long shot, as this is such an old post, but the William Fell you are speaking of, is my great grandfaher.  I have lots of information on him.  You don't happen to be Horace's son do you?
Look forward to hearing from you soon,

Vikki

Hi there,

Have you seen the headstone standing? I can have a look through the records for the transcript if you would. If that's what you want? Do you have his date of death?

She has given me the name of a gentleman that has a lot to do with the grave yard at St James!  I have been in touch with him before, but didn't realise he was as well up on it as he is!

I will ring him tomorrow and see if he can help.

Ah ok.

I am going down to the library at Haslingden on Monday, and was wondering if you wanted me to have a look through the MI's for you! I don't mind at all!

Are you local to Haslingden?

Correction,  Jacqueline has replied from Haslingden Roots, so I think I have a contact to point me in the right direction.

Thanks again

Hi Shirl100,

Thanks for your reply.  I live in the area, and have been into both Rawtenstall and Haslingden Libraries, but there are no grave plans.  I have also contacted Haslingden Roots, but am still awaiting a reply from them :-(

I presumed that there was a grave plan someone as the MI's do say the whether each plot has a marker stone, or no stone!  So if I can't get an actual plan, I am just going to have to work off the MI's.  They have been meticulously done, so that shouldn't be too difficult!

Thanks again

Hi guys,

Was wondering if someone may be able to help.

I have many relatives buried in St James Churchyard, Haslingden, and have been looking at the book of transcripts in the local library.  However I have actually been unable to locate the particular graves within the churchyard, as there are no numbers on the headstones.

Is anyone aware of a plan/map of the churchyard with numbers?  I cannot seem to locate one anywhere.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi Yorkslass,

Sorry it's took me so long to come back to you, my little boy has been poorly (Doc thought he had chicken pox, but it turns out to be just a non-specific viral infection!!  Kids eh?)

Thanks for the information.  I didn't realise IGI had all norfolk on.  I'm on with searching down the next generation now.

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and get the marriage cert for John Sisson and Sarah Pye just to confirm.

Thanks for all your help.
