Hi, i might be able to help you re-trace your early steps at the shop at 27a bridge street.
Yes the shop was bombed by a V1 in June 1944, but i know you were not living in the shop then as my grandfather and grandmother lived and owned the shop from 1941.
If you want more info i can ask my mother who also lived in the shop with the rest of the family when it was bombed (all survived)
