Family History Beginners Board / Re: william brine harris & louisa mary ann leonard family

I just wondered if the death certificates showed anything about William's children (any mentioned who might be from his first marriage?) or how long he'd been in Australia. Perhaps his first wife died young and he had no children, or perhaps they remained in England with family.
I haven't been able to pin him down on the 1841 census yet.
William came to Australia prior to 1852 with at least one son by Mary - Stephen Alfred Harris, my gt grandfather,
born around 1837.
I have yet to find a record of his arrival but this article in the Cornwall Chronicle 5.1.1867
shows Stephen being granted permission to sell under the license held by his father W. B. Harris.
