Pembrokeshire / Milford Haven Grammar School
« on: Tuesday 13 January 15 11:11 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for copies of the long form entire school roll photographs of Milford Haven Grammar School taken during the 1970s. Does anyone know where I might start looking? The Education dept of the council is no help and neither is the archive of the present school.

Thanks for any help.

Hi

I'm looking at the baptism on 26 August 1787 of a Rachel Phillips. Is anyone able to tell me if there are any other details regarding parents etc?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Mike

I've now got the marriage certificate back and Jane's father is listed as being John Davies, labourer.

Now if Oriel's first suggestion of the John Davies being a warrant officer in the navy is to be considered I would doubt he list his occupation as labourer? Having said that however Jane's husband Thomas WAS a mariner, as was his father William so you could imagine they were keeping things in the family so to speak.

Based on the listing of John Davies being a labourer however makes me lean to him being Mary Griffiths' husband although Jane does name her third of four daughters Martha (although her husband Thomas has a sister Martha who signed the marriage licence as a witness).

I reckon it's probably John Davies / Mary Griffiths are her parents what do you all think?

Thanks for the digging Oriel. I think Ebenezer will have been an "incomer" although I don't believe he was the Ebenezer that crops up having originated in Brawdy. Don't know why, it just doesn't feel right. He also disappears (dies) quite young also. Clearly a man of mystery.
