I just found the following article on FIND MY PAST in their newspaper database.

Article text: "Mistook Ammonia for Beer"

Mistaking a bottle of ammonia for a bottle of beer which he usually drank at night in bed, Michael Rochford, of Leicester, was found dead in bed in the morning. At the inquest on Monday a verdict of Death by misadventure was returned."

I keep looking for the inquest report but no luck so far.  How in the world did the beer turn in to whiskey in the family story?

Can anyone tell me where one would find an index of probate records for Chelsea, Suffolk, Massachusetts?
Of course, then I need to know where to find the actual records...
I am looking for possible probate records for:

Roberts, Susannah Noseworthy - Death recorded 4 Jun 1897 at city of Chelsea.
died 2 June 1897 widow of Joshua Roberts age 84 of 102 Williams St, Chelsea & buried at Garden Cemetery - born in Newfoundland - daughter of Jacob Noseworthy 

Roberts, James H. - Death cert. Chelsea, commonwealth of Mass. 8 June 1915
died 5 June 1915 at 104 Chestnut, Chelsea (residence) married, longshoreman
age 64 yrs 2 mos. 3days - born 2 Feb 1851 Newfoundland
son of Joshua Roberts of Newfoundland & Susannah Noseworthy of Newfoundland
informant Mrs. Roberts of 104 Chestnut St. Chelsea
buried at Glenwood Cemetery

I'm trying to find relations of farm labourer, Garratt or Garrett Rochford (Reatchford / Ratchford /Rushford / Rachford married to a Kate or Catherine Sullivan.  They have a son Michael born 1845-1848 somewhere in Wexford.  He is sent to live with his mother's sister Esther at the age of 10-12 possibly in Stalybridge, Cheshire/Lancs. supposedly because his parents had died.
I have been unable to find Michael in the 1861 English census so maybe he was still in Ireland.

The only sign I have found of a Garratt Rochford is as the father of a Bridget Rochford marrying a John Connor in 1864 in Dublin North.

Anyone recognise this family group?
