Hi, not sure if i may link in with your Watkins's somewhere along the line..... I have a JOHN WATKINS marrying my ggreat aunt ANN PARRY born 1842, married at llangattock lingoed which is not far from llantillio crossenny, they had a son JOHN JAMES WATKINS  born 1872........ on 1901 census they have Johns niece Phoebe Gorst born 1858 at llanigon breconshire and great niece Jenny Gorst born 1900 staying with them. unfortunately i dont have any parents names for JOHN WATKINS but will have a dig around now for any info i can find...

Hi, these are the 2 oldest houses in the village, on the right is the campsite house or Bridge Inn as dad recalls... the house on the left could of been a pub but i dont know any info on it. Hazel

Hi, take a look at this link below mentions a coaching inn now the campsite. My dad now in his 80s remembers talk of it being called the Bridge Inn, but thats not to say it wasnt the Castle Inn previous to that.   You can get a nice picture of it off google maps.. Hazel

Hi,
 Back in 1898 my Great Grandfathers brother married their sisters daughter  {their was around 6yrs age difference} and they had 5 or more children.I cant see that was legal, but they got round it some how.
