« on: Monday 05 May 14 16:11 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I'm trying to find the maiden name of the wife of George seaborn, I have a christening of Mary Ann Seaborn christened on 18th December 1859 at St Issels, the fathers name was George seaborn and the mother was Mary, but I cannot find a surname, any help would be greatfully welcome,
Thanks :)

there was no address but On the 1861 census, RG9/4153 ED11 Folio6 page 5, says that George was from Monkton, hester from Bosheston. so I can only assume that Monkton was the area where he was born in 1837, If the record is right there is no record anywhere of George Marrying Mary James.

yes on both marriage and birth George Seaborn is a labourer, on the birth certificate it it says county of Pembroke but it does not give a sub district like it does on the wedding certificate,

Hello,
I have just decided to carry on with tracing my family tree, I have just had a 6 year layoff and rereading my certificates is making my head spin!
I have a marriage certificate for 21st nov 1857 George Seaborn to Hester Charite, it says that George is 22 and Hester 19. the reason I stopped the search 6 years ago was because the only birth I could find for George Seaborn was 2nd October 1837, On the certificate it says his parents were also George Seaborn and Mary James in the Parish of Monkton. Is it normal to have a 2 year difference in age from birth to marriage or have I got the wrong birth certificate? would it be possible that somebody could double check that I don't have the wrong certificate.
Thank you.
Andrew

Thank you thats brilliant, I have a marriage certificate for george seaborn and Hester charite on 21st november 1857,it has george being 22 and hester as 19,it has george seaborn as his father and antonio charite as hesters father, the whitnesses were william george and margret davies.
from this i was able to get georges birth certificate as 1837 with his parents as george seaborn and mary james, the only problem i have is the dates are out by 2 years!he is the only seaborn i could find with george as a father.
with mary ann james i was wondering if there was a connection between mary ann seaborn daughter of george and mary and my george seaborn.again thanks for all your help.
