Replying to AlanBoyd…
Possibly the “League of Coloured Peoples” mentioned.

Another reference to the 1700 figure is found on page 9 of this paper:
https://pure-oai.bham.ac.uk/ws/files/17367744/LeeS096077731100004Xa.pdf
which cites correspondence in 1947 so is probably the original source.
"Credible estimates of the number of GI-children are given in George Padmore to Walter White, 29
April 1947 and enclosed memo of 24 April, in NAACP papers, II/A, box 63I: ‘US Army-Brown
Babies’."

Seems like it would be easy to ask the Professor at Anglia Ruskin University directly for the source, no?

Armed Forces / Re: RAF service record - Meaning of Unit code PC.S.B. (a) in 1927

Have you previously seen mention of a "Practice Carrier Shore Base" anywhere, Jim1?

Someone elsewhere mooted a possibility of S.B. being a Selection Board but there's no indication in his mustering, trade or qualification sections around this period to explain that idea. As shown on the record extract, he was attached to 403 Flight on Hermes and was with that unit at China Station and Hong Kong until his 1930 discharge.

Armed Forces / RAF service record - Meaning of Unit code PC.S.B. (a) in 1927

As shown in the red box, what is the meaning of "PC.S.B. (a)" in this RAF service record? He was an armourer.

Thanks in advance.

It says 16th MARCH not November (which I thought unlikely!)

There's nothing in this advice about time-limit/provisional invitations.

If the tree named "no trees" shows in your list, it seems to be saying hat you've viewed it before. If you no longer can, it seems to mean that your access has been revoked by the owner. Despite them saying that it's public, it's clearly not (right?). Perhaps they just don't want to share with you any longer. I don't think it's controlled by any setting in your account.

I have no experience of it but did skip through the terms and conditions. Seems that deleting isn’t possible/allowed and everything uploaded becomes geni’s property to share with users.  :(

The website says it's a collaborative "World Family Tree" so not personal to you. Much the same as FamilySearch.
