Hi

My Grandmother was born in 1896 so I am assuming that Lizzie Chapple was around the same age give or take a few years.

Will have a look through the info that I have on the Butlers and Phillips and see if any of the names you mentioned tie in.

Cheers

Anne

Hi

I would be very interested if you have or come across a Phillips or a Butler who married a Chapple  and had a daughter named Elizabeth.

I am trying to find out exactly how my Grandmother's cousin Lizzie Chapple fits into either the Butler or the Phillips family tree.

My Grandmother Winifred Amy Phillips was born in Newton Abott - her mother was a Butler.

Any help appreciated.

Hi

I'm looking for information on Mary Titterington born Moira, Co Down.  She had two children Thomas Titterington (my Grandfather) born 16 August 1887 and Elizabeth Titterington born 12 January 1893.  On both Thomas and Elizabeth's birth certificates there is no mention of a father.  We understood Mary's maiden name was Trimble but are now having our doubts.  Mary later married Daniel Bann and had a further 7 children.  Mary also had two sisters - one married Joe Banks and the other married a McClelland.  Any information on Mary, her parents, sisters and her daughter Elizabeth would be greatly appreciated.   You can email me direct at Moderator Comment: email address removed to prevent spam and other abuses. Better late than never with replying on these forums. I believe the Joe Banks you mention is a great or GG grandfather of mine although I haven't worked that one out yet. What was the sister called who married him? If it is my great grandfather then I can fill you in more details regarding that side of your family that exist today. If not he's definately a relative of my great grandfather (who was definately Joseph Banks of Moira) - and possible even his own father.

Ellen Titterington (born approx 1882) married Joseph Banks in 1903 in Co Down.  To my knowledge they had four children Joseph, Thomas, Matt & May I do not have dates of birth for the children.  I don't have any more information on the Banks side of my tree but have quite a bit on Ellen's brothers & sisters and their families that I am willing to share.

My great grandfather was ALEXANDER HARVEY of Moira, County Down Ireland. He married JANE TITTERINGTON about 1866. They had daughters, MARIE, SARAH, JANE and sons ALEXANDEER, JAMES, ROBERT and my grandfather JOHN. He came to the USA at the age of 16 and lived in Minnesota with his uncle JAMES TITTERINGTON, brother to JANE. Other names that are related are: LAVERY, DOBBIN, WILKERSON, M'CLEAN,

Hi Neah

Do you know if Jane TITTERINGTON had any brothers and if so what were their names?

Hi Bougie

Does the book by any chance list the parents names of the Nichol boys that you listed?  If so and if it is not to much trouble could you please send them to me.

I am trying to establish how the Nichol family of Hawick are connected to the Park family from Denholm and Hawick.  I have found an old photo sent to my Grandfather from his Aunt & Uncle W & B Nichol.

Many thanks

Many thanks for the information - the James Park I'm looking for would have been older - perhaps this James is his son, I will have to try figure out if there is a connection.

Once again thanks a lot for taking the time to do look-ups

Hi Bougie

I would be most grateful if you could send me more details about James Park.  Also is there any chance you could have a look and see if there is anyone with the surname Nichol mentioned.

Many thanks

Hi Neah

Very interested in your research names.  My Great Aunt Elizabeth Titterington was born in Moira in 1893.  Her mother was Mary Titterington (no father known).  Mary was the daughter of Edward & Margaret Titterington.  Elizabeth was raised by relations in Belfast (we have been led to believe that she was living with an Aunt) .  When Elizabeth signed the covenent she was living at 2 Devonshire Villas, North Parade Belfast.  The person who signed the covenent before her was C M Dobbin.  As Elizabeth was only about 18 when she signed I thought perhaps she might have gone with someone - they both gave their address as North Parade so I have been trying to find a Dobbin connection.  How is your Dobbin family connected to the Titterington's?  Would be very interested to know if they are related.
