Flintshire / Re: bennett family flint

Hi-I don't think that it is the Flint parish records that you need-more likely to be Connahs Quay. I have 1765 to 1837 baptisms, burials and marriages for Flint and there is only one Bennett in all of them, and then he was only a witness at a wedding in Flint in 1811.
Good Luck in your search

Armed Forces / British army in India about 1875

I have been stuck on this one for a good few years!!!!!!!!! How do I obtain a copy of a marriage certificate for a marriage that took place in Bengal, India in 1873?
The groom was a serving soldier in the British army-Thomas Liles, born 1843 in Glos. The bride was Elizabeth Oldham ,born Halifax, Nova Scotia ,Canada in 1859. I assume that she also came from an army family. She appears to be only fourteen at the time of the marriage! They had two girls in India and a lot more children back in this country. The marriage appears on Ancestry-Ecclesiatical returns.I really want to know who her parents were-and the only way is to see the certificate.SO----------- where might I get it from?? Would be eternally grateful, if someone could put me on the right track.
