Thank you for your prompt assistance Rachel. You have done so much to help, I can't thank you enough for trying. It is a shame that nothing can be found. I had a look through the sites you mentioned but I could not understand the geneanum one and couldn't work out how to search in the archives.maltadiocese. I will endeavor to find the information though as I really want to share the details with my mother. I am compiling a family book for her but it is missing so much details. I have a piece of the puzzle that may help find information if anyone knew where to look. That is my mum's brother, Sir Emanuel Borg Gauci. He was an artist in Malta born Dec 24 1911, passed away Dec 16 1991. Recently I found a couple of beautiful tributes about him. Gabriel who is an artist and who's father knew my uncle, and and Joe who has a blog on Mix Cloud. All the information I have about my uncle doesn't really mention much about his family. I have attached 2 pictures of my uncle, one when he was young and the other when he was older. Thank you again and if you are able to pass on other relevant sites or assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Dear MazHar,
The person you need to contact about the name Borg, is Julius Borg. He has an extensive collection
of the Borg clan and is a known expert on the subject.

Wow, I can't thank you enough Rachel. If you don't mind trying to find out all the names of my mother's siblings, that would be the best gift anyone could give my mother. She is turning 96 in November and has never remembered all of her 20 siblings. My grandmother's name is Giuseppa aka Josephine Borg born Gauci. Born in Rabat Malta in 1885 passed away Oct 5 1948. Her parent's are Paulo Gauci & Mary Grace Gauci born Camilleri. Nanna Giuseppa married George Borg born in Qormi, Malta, Mar 16 1882, passed away 1930. His parent's are Michael Borg and Jane aka Joanna Borg born Portelli maybe in 1862. I guess my grandparent's were married in Rabat as that is where nanna was born. If you let me know what else you might need, I am happy to provide you with the details.  :)

Thank you again so very much for your very kind offer.

Hi all,

Wow, thank you everyone for all your wonderful help. I haven't been here for a while, so much going on with family so I haven't been able to put a whole lot into more research but I will keep trying to build my family tree. I wasn't able to find my mum's sister Maria Cuschieri either, but thank you again for your help. One of these days I hope to put a name at least to all my mother's siblings. I will let you all know if I manage to make a discovery.  :)

Thanks Anne & Allan. I hope I managed to put the names in the profile correctly. I put the names of my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The (m) between names means they married, where I have the - after the name indicates place of birth and the ? means I don't know place of birth. I do have some of the names for my mother's siblings, however she only remembers 10 of them and up until 3 months ago we thought there were 18 siblings. Upon getting to meet some cousins via Skype I was told that their father, mum's older brother had always told them there were 21 siblings. A few of them died as infants and my mother does not recall them. I also have lost family in America by the surname Cuschieri, mum's older married sister.  I myself am 1 of 10 kids. We seem to have family scattered all over the world. Some in Canada, Italy, Malta, Sth Africa, Uk and Australia. None of my relatives are able to give me any details and I am the one putting the puzzle together for the lot of us. There are many cousins, some I know and a lot I am still to discover. I really do appreciate all your help with my venture. I especially thank you for your interest with regards to helping me find my mother’s siblings names and hopefully form there if possible I will find their date of births, deaths and marriages. Another big thing my mother really wishes is to find are photos of her siblings especially one of her older sisters which we just can’t get our hands on. It is so sad that family history tends to just fade away as if they didn’t exist. I want to get to know as many of my ancestors and relatives as I can possibly get to know. Thanks again all, take care.

Thanks Erato & Joe,

Wow this sounds promising having specialists to offer a hand and you are not wrong Joe it will keep me busy for some time. I've been working on this tree for around 15 years so far. I have managed to find current family which I did not know, however no one seems to be able to give me any information on our ancestors. I was lucky enough to have met my dad's sister, my 92 year old aunt from UK for the first time via Skype. That was such a buzz. I hope to be able to at least find out the names of my mother's siblings for her before I run out of time. By the way, what are all the names at the bottom of your messages? Have a great day/evening and thanks again.  :)

Hi all,

I'm new here, this site looks great. Wish I found it years ago.

I hope to be able to find relatives from Malta for my 94 year old mother. I have built a family tree but have so much information missing. My mother is 1 of 18 or 21 children, we are not sure as she finds it hard to remember things these days.  :'( There is only 1 of her siblings left alive who is 88 and she too does not remember too much.

I would really appreciate any help with trying to get the information I need to give my mother some peace with remembering the names of her siblings.

Thank you all for your help.

Regards,
MazHar  :)
