Channel Islands Lookup Requests / Any Info on John Hambling/Emma Reeves
« on: Saturday 20 April 13 21:09 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any information on John Hambling (born abt. 1821 in Stoneham) and his wife
Emma Reeves (born abt. 1822 in Weymouth). I believe they were living in the Channel Islands at
the time of their deaths. They had 6 children who were all born in the Channel Islands:
George William (my great-great grandfather) born 03/17/1840 in St. Peter Port
James Charles born 01/04/1842 in St. Peter Port
Emma P. born 10/21/1844 in St. Peter Port
Rosennia born 1847 in Guernsey
Jessie P. born 1848 in Alderney
Mahala born 1850 in St. Helier
I found them in the 1841 census and they were living in St. Peter Port. Then I found them in
the 1851 census living in St. Helier. George William came to the United States in 1857 and I
believe his parents and siblings all stayed in the Channel Islands.
Any info greatly appreciated
