I have photo's that were sent from Scotland, yrs. abt 1890- 1920 to my gr.grandmother Mary Tyson Casey, to USA Illinois. Was wondering if any family members in Scotland would be able to help ID the people. Some was of my gr grandmother before she came to US. so would be before 1881. Also have a post card Xmas 1911 from her neice, then Helen C Meechan, married later to Thomas Kane. If related, email me at (*), and I will email the photo's to you to see if you can ID any of the people. Thanks Janet Weber

I haven't found any death date for Elizabeth or John, nor either marriage to Elizabeth or to a Mary A.

Sorry that I confused you. I think the John & Eliz in 1881, GR 11/2878 and the John & Mary in 1891 are the same John. I haven't found a death for Elizabeth, but it would have been after 1881 census.

I made the mistake of saying his son died in the war- the John that died in the war was his brother's Solomon's son.  Hope this corrects things. justweb

Hi keyboard 86, yes, Poll was listed as a widow, I haven't found John's death as yet, I show brother Thomas as still living in 1911 Census, at Northfield, if I have the correct Thomas.  This family is hard to work with, everyone names their children the same family names. Thanks, justweb

Thanks everyone for the information. On Alfred, he is my gr/grandfather. He and brother William came to the states in 1886. William leaving his children with his parents ( John and Catherine Stamps Haywood).  So from what I can make of it- Poll may have been Edward's wife or Thomas's wife, each have Mary for the first name.  Also, the information given - gives me where Nellie was, Nell being daughter of William Haywood and Sarah Ann Bradley. The John that died in 1901 was my gr gr/grandfather. Thanks again. justweb

On his death cert. states a Poll, daughter-in-law. Poll is also living with him in the 1901 census, with grandchildren: William-17, John-16, Tom-13, William-16. Which son was she married to? I have son Thomas with a Mary Jane, Solomon with a Elizabeth, John with Elizabeth. Edward I have just birth infor, no marriage. Son William's wife died in 1884, and Charles died in 1886. Anyone have knowledge of this family? Thanks
